Can you believe Independence Day weekend is already upon us? We can’t either! Why not stop in at the library and check out some great movies? You can set them up on a projector and watch them outside (just don’t forget bug spray!) if you want to get really creative. 🙂
If you need to access the library between fireworks and barbecues, here are our hours for the upcoming weekend:
Regina Library: Regular hours Friday and Saturday, Closed Sunday and Monday.
ERC: Closed Friday through Monday.
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or help you might need! Have a safe and happy holiday!
Currently at the library there is a display showcasing the next campus wide read–The Other Wes Moore! Come by and check it out–and get a head start on your summer reading for next year. 🙂
Do you read the New York Times? Are you paying for a subscription?
Well stop that! We’re paying for one for you, Rivier student/faculty/staff member! Not sure how to access the NYT from our database list? Worry not! There’s a tutorial on the library home page RIGHT NOW! You could go take a look, and be reading some exceptional articles right this very minute–how exciting is that?
For convenience, here is the post from our home page, with links to the NYT and the tutorial for setting up a free account through the library. Enjoy!
What is it? A newspaper covering events both in the U.S. and abroad.
What neat stuff can it do? The NYT has records dating back to the late 1890s. If you select the appropriate dates, you can browse through them.
What classes is it useful for? History classes, Classes asking for information on current events.
